Songs: You Take Me
Posted on Jul 22, 2005 - 09:15 AM by Cephlian

Drumming Magick By Rowan WhistleWalker, June 2004

I try to deny you,
afraid of what you offer.
Torn by my confusion
between reality and illusion.
Afraid of self-delusion;
Seeking a resolution,
I'm finding revelation
that I've known all along.

<chorus>

I'm standing before you,
feeling the chains fall away.
Stripped of my inhibitions;
You clothe me with vibration;
Crown me with intonation;
Percuss me with sensation.
I am simply an extension
of your beauty and your joy.

<chorus>

You make me forget
who the world thinks I am.
Free of labels and expectations;
Captivated by your creation;
Moving to your inspiration;
Baptized in your perspiration;
I anoint you in the blood of my devotion,
consecrating the altar of your hands.

<chorus>

I have become the mirror
through which darkly you see
the facets of your reflection;
the clarity of your perception;
the depths of your intuition;
the extent of your imagination;
With a lack of all pretension,
you submit to the Truth that I reveal.

<chorus>

I tried to resist you
but you seduced me all the same;
So in love and appreciation,
I submit in anticipation;
For you offer aural satisfaction
and bring me spiritual gratification;
You show me the direction
to return to where I belong.

Chorus:

I belong to you
body and soul.
You take me
to where I want to go.
I'm not in control;
you hold the key;
to binding me down, or setting me free.

Thank you, drummers!
With love....
Rowan
